She finds the classroom engaging and exciting; she eagerly jumps into each new activity that is provided daily. My daughter’s social skills and vocabulary have experienced the most growth. She is learning how to navigate peer relationships that can lead to the development of friendships. She is more aware of the reciprocal nature of relationships. The low teacher-child ratio is an element within the classroom environment that is so seamlessly ingrained into the daily flow that I often forget about this fact. In my observation, the dynamic of low teacher-child ratio affords children with the ability to lead the way in their own learning and to have their discoveries seen and heard.
